You may have heard the phrase ‘we are what we eat’, right? Everything we eat reflects on our welfare and energy. No only in us adults, but mainly in children. The little ones need to be stimulated to eat healthy and to try new foods. Therefore, parents or guardians have to be great examples for children.
In order to encourage the little ones from an early age to have a diet with a diversity of fruits and vegetables, Oli&Carol and Lorena Canals launched the capsule collection. But before we talk about each product, did you know that Oli and Carol are daughters of Lorena? That’s right! This family is very special and innovative ideas run in their DNA.
For those who don’t know, Oli&Carol is a young brand born in Barcelona specialises in toy design with natural and sustainable material. We must confess that our favourites are the banana and watermelon biters. They’re so cute!
The collection is the result of a concern with the environment that was passed from mother to daughters, communicating the message about our role in inspiring children to lead a healthy lifestyle. In addition, it also stimulates interest in gardening and entertainment inside home. The best of everything? Not messy at all! The trio developed sensorial pieces, which stimulate self-discovery in a true Montessori way.
We’re in love with every single piece and we want to present to you some of them:
WASHABLE RUG VEGGIE GARDEN
This model is clean and matches every decor style. It comes with a small bag and 15 cotton canvas handmade vegetables. The mat has small pockets where the vegetables can be “planted”. Amazing, isn’t it?
BEAN BAG CATHY THE CARROT
It’s perfect for the little ones to relax and read, the giant carrot-shaped pouffe is handmade with cotton canvas in orange and green. Its cover is removable and can be washed in convencional washing machines.
POUFFE TIC-TAC-TOE
To sit or to play: the pouffe works as a tic-tac-toe board with little cotton canvas vegetables, which helps to develop the children’s motor skills. It comes with four little carrots and four radishes.
WASHABLE RUG RAMONA THE RADISH
The washable cotton rug is shaped like a radish with ombre shades of pink, mixed with cotton’s natural colour and green leaves. It also has irregular braids as reference to the vegetable stems.
BASKET VEGGIES
Natural cotton braided baskets. One of it handles is decorated with two bunches of handmade vegetables. They can be used as a decorative way to organise toys, cushions, books and even to place potted plants.
TEXTILE BOOK “COOL KIDS EAT HEALTHY”
A handmade book made entirely of fabric to stimulate kids’ sensory perception. The story shows the vegetables cycle from gardening to our plates. It comes with four tiny greenstuff that can be used to fill or empty each scene pockets.
KNITTED CUSHIONS BRUCY THE BROCCOLI, RAMONA THE RADISH, AND CATHY THE CARROT
Is there a more adorable trio than this one? We don’t think so! The knitted cushions Brucy the Broccoli, Ramona the Radish, and Cathy the Carrot formed a gorgeous match that can be placed in the bed or the grib, for example. They can also be part of playtime and yet encourage the kids to eat healthy.
Soon, the capsule collection will arrive in Australia. Do you want to know more about it? Follow us on Instagram or access our web page!
